The principle of this method is to record some body parameters (breathing, muscle activity, hand temperature and/or sweat, heart rate, EEG,…). These parameters are transmitted to a computer which allows you to see on a screen what is happening in real-time in your body.

This awareness may help you understand how your body functions and regain control over the most problematic physiological parameters.

Heartrate coherence. Special type of breathing that helps obtain some balance between the orthosympathetic and the parasympathetic systems. The main effect will be an awake relaxation.

Learning this type of breathing takes a little bit of time because it uses the procedural memory, the know-how memory, the memory that allows us to learn how to swim or to cycle. It’s a very solid, long lasting memory. This means that when the breathing method is learnt, you don’t forget it. Very useful for stressful situations in the future.

Heartrate coherence can be learnt with biofeedback.
